Okay here's the birth story
Woke up with contractions at 4.30am. Was rather strong and coming regularly. Rang the labour ward and they said that they were closed and everyone was being diverted to another town, so at 6.30 we ended up going there which pissed me off. 20 minutes on the motorway and having contractions was not fun at all
Was 4cm dialated on arrival. Was 2cm dialated the week before. Requested gas and air straight away to help control my breathing. By 11am i felt the need to push but i was only 7cm dialated. She broke my waters. Had my gas and air taken away from me and at 11.24am Benjamin was born. I could feel absolutely everything. It was the most amazing experience ever. I do not regret having no other form of pain relief
I had a slight graze but no stitching was necessary
The placenta took it's time to come out, which caused some problems
Benjamin has slight jaundice and colic but is doing fine. He is feeding every couple of hours though, but is doing better. He is being weighed tomorrow and having his heel test done.

Wow you are a trooper! Its so good to hear of a natural birth without medication. Good Job! Was this your 1st? DId you prepare your perineum in any way? Is that why you didnt tear?
