I have been taking tri-cyclen lo for about 8 months. I got sick about two weeks ago and was taking antibiotics for 4 days and I had sex at that time and after with no added protection. Now I have light bleeding for about 5 days that comes and goes, cramping, nausea that is getting stronger every day and especially in the morning, lower back pain, moodiness, and slightly sore breasts. I took a pregnancy test but it came back negative, although it is too early because my period is only due in about a week. How likely is it that I am pregnant?

I'm not sure how likely, but its very possible.

Wait another week and test again.

I do, but that doesn't mean you will.

Right now, you have the same chance of pregnancy as anyone else who had unprotected sex.

I did retest and I am not pregnant (unfortunately). I also talked to my dr and he said that there is only one type of antibiotics that can really affect birth control pills (don't know about the patch) , you can google it. But every woman is different and she might get pregnant. If her period is late she should just go for a blood test like I did and she will know for sure.
Best of luck to her.
