Q: BC options

I started the pill back in 1998, then went off it in 2003 and back on it again 2006. The main reason I've been on it was to regulate my period. My new doctor is now worried it could be the cause of my high blood pressure (I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon to discuss). I just want to know if there are any other options to regulate my period besides the pill. I'm currently on Ortho Tri-cyclen (regulars). At one point I was on Ortho-Lo's but those didn't work.

Do any other contraceptives regulate periods (like the nuva ring, or IUD)? I won't take the patch or the needles (I've heard and witnessed problems that they cause with other people).

Extremely eHealthy
The IUD does not regulate the period.

The copper IUD is NON hormonal, and would not have any of the side effects that BC pills have.

You would continue to have your natural cycle. I LOVE the IUD Smile

Yeah, but the problem is, I've never had a regular cycle. My "natural" cycle is so varied, I could never tell when it would happen. From the first day I've had my period (age 12) it's never been regular except when I've been on the BC pill. So I was hoping there was another method to keep me regular.
