Hello to all on this forum.
I am anxious about a health problem my son is experiencing since he sustained an eye injury from a battery explosion.
He was soldering a circuit board when a flat round silver disc battery exploded into his face.
He spent a week in hospital and had shrapnel removed from his left eyeball which was also torn from the impact. He now understandably has blurred vision in that eye, which may or may not recover.
The accident happened about 6 weeks ago. Since then he has experienced unexplained back and now, neck pain. Firstl he could not bend forward at all. Then he got severe pain around his hip.
For the last 2 weeks he has had severe headaches which start out as neck pain in the back of his neck and then develop into nausia, vomitting, sensitivity to light and and inability to think or function properly due to pain. (Similair to migrain ?)
Because he does not get sick pay he is still trying to work. He is a strong fit young man in his mid twenties.
He has had one consultation with a local GP over these symptoms and was prescribed v.strong painkillers which do not help. I will admit that he does not help himself at the doctors because he will not readily admit to pain or weakness.
Any ideas.
Could it be that toxins from the battery have got into his body?
What should we do?
