I am a engineer and i am trying to design a system to aid for elderly people.

1) What are risk/chances of survival of an elderly if hit by a stroke and have no movement for 2 hour and to be discovered maybe 15 min later.
Assume 30 min of time to reach hospital for rescue after 2hr of stroke delay?

2)As in Q1 , what is the maximum allowable time of delay after a stroke occur if the elderly MUST survive.

3)Not only stroke, if any faints/pass down occur what do you suggest a timing of delay if the elderly MUST survive.

*Elderly = Age >60

I know a lot of factor in personal health and other factors affect the survival rate.. but can anyone just give me a rough answer?

Sorry if i post on the wrong thread. i just join today.
Thanks a lot ..

This is mainly a patient-to-patient site. For the answer to your question, I suggest that you contact the National Institutes of Health Neurological Disorders and Stroke center...there are resources out there for you, including national associations and organizations that educate specifically on stroke.

I think you need a better understanding of what stroke is first. Based upon the location of the stroke the any person might die regardless of how fast they get to ER. Location, location, location and time before the clot is disolved or removed or the bleed is stopped.
