im desperate.

i keep on asking about this topic to different sections of the forum. i was able to read topics about bartholin's cyst and all i see was surgery. it really scares me alot.

i had this condition a year ago, but it resolved with antibiotics prescribed to be by my gyne, now it reappeared and the pain is terrible. i have difficulty walking, sitting ang moving around.

i forgot the name of the antibiotic, to my despair, i started with amoxicillin but it doesn't work. ciprofloxacin rings a bell, i think it might be it. anybody who knows that medication?

please help. im in a foreign country right now for our (me and my bf) vacation, aside from i already spoiled it, because of this condition, the thought of going into a doctor and surgery really scares me.

is there anything that i can do to relieve the pain? aside from sitz bath or hot compress, which im also doing, but the pain is still there.

a great antibiotic is metronidazole. Taking motrin or advil should alleviate some of the pain and swelling. sitz baths are good too. the best thing though is to get a super strong shot of antibiotics! the shots will absolutely deliver results fast, like an hour or so. trust me. BTW-if none of these are available-a double shot of whiskey chased by a glass of wine wouldn't hurt,just kidding. hope you are better.

yes I had one that i got rid of by drinking comfrey tea and parsley tea every four hours plus using golden seal root on a white cotton rag very hot soaking brought the cyst down completely...dont give up on it

Epsom salt paste help me with the vaginal cyst
I think I finally found a remedy, my cyst was the size of a golf ball so painful I could hardly walk it hurt just laying on the couch. I soaked in a bath with tons of Epsom salt about 10 cups and just enough warn water to cover the area. This only helped sooth the pain a little. I then made a paste of Epsom salt and water. I put it directly on my cyst and inside the lips. I fell asleep and when I woke up a few hours later it was swollen twice the size but then it burst and tons of fluid came out. What a relief. Some was clear fluid and some blood clots. I then soaked in the tub and more stuff came out. I lightly squeezed to cyst didn't hurt and more stuff came out. Hope this helps let me know if the epsom salt paste helps you too.

there's a good rave online that states sucess with using cleavers herb tea for bartholin cyst. for cleavers is a natural cleanser for glands....worked great for me imediately and is 4.50 to purchase online

hey I found this online and it works! its raving online right now as a cure for this condition..

bloodroot is and herb that used as a salve compress it said to cure the problem and reduce swelling...it worth the try...as you take your medicines.

here is the remedy you wont find anywhere took me alot of research online to find it ..

bartholin cyst compress.
1oz calamine lotion
1tsp tea tree oil
1tsp witch hazel
bloodrootsalve or powder
on a cotton compress.....


im praying for ya all God bless and try it out...

BARTOLIN CYST
I would seriously advise AGAINST 1 tsp of tea tree on on this cyst. It will burn most people.
The recipe above is worth trying if you use only 5 drops of tea tree. Out of a dropper.
I would be careful about the witch hazel if your cyst is inside the vagina. Test a SMALL amt first.

I do plan to try this for myself as I am having this issue.

Other ideas:

combo of rosemary, cayenne ginger, garlic and ghinko in a tea and drink. Save some left over fluid for a compress.

It appears to be an issue with poor circulation. Hot compresses with herbs could help.

Also silicia homeopathic.
