I'm thinking about becoming sexually active with my long term boyfriend. We're both in college, so the idea of a pregnancy at this time makes us uncomfortable. We also do not think we could have an abortion if a pregnancy did come up. So, we want to be really careful if we choose to be sexually active.

The idea of birth control that affects my hormones makes me uncomfortable. I'm not sure if I would be very good at remembering to take the pills. I'm also worried about how hormonal birth control would affect pregnancies I may want in the future. I'd much rather stick with barrier method contraceptives. I've researched different methods and I was thinking of using condoms, spermicides, and a diaphragm together. I was able to find the success rates of them individually, but not when used together. I feel like a 10-30% of getting pregnant is still rather high. Would this combination lower my chances of getting pregnant enough to not worry?

Are there any other methods that I have overlooked that would work for me?
