I'm considering having the banding procedure done for relief of pain/bleeding roids during BM. They all are currently internal, and only show up during a BM.

Anyone have experience with this? Words of advice?
Success? Complications? What to expect?

thanks

update: I had the banding procedure done. Unfortunately he banded the wrong one. The one thats been an issue still remains, so I go back again this Thursday.

I had some slight discomfort leaving the office and that night before bed. I made sure I was able to pee as soon as I got home since I was really afraid of this complication.
I took a vicadin and went to bed. The following morning I was TOO UNCOMFORTABLE to sit through work. I ended up walking around nonstop at home like a caged animal. I had this intense urge of having to go to the bathroom, but it was evident that it was just the banding. It drove me nuts.

I took a Tylenol with Codeine, and within about 15-20 minutes I felt almost normal again. I called the Dr for a prescription of T w/ codeine, and it worked excellent. Although it said I could take 2 every 4 hours, I stuck with 1 to try to avoid chances of constapation as well as wanting to have an adequate gauge of how long the pain really lasted without meds.

Minor spots of bleeding during bowel movements. I had to make sure I continued to take my fiber and drink lots of water. I think 1 or 2 of them were EXTREMELY painful trying to go to the bathroom...although I wasnt on the Codeine beforehand so it was my own fault. One week to the day that I had it done I was able to go to the bathroom without any pain or discomfort afterwards.

I go back again in two days...I hope it goes as smoothly.
