I have a thyroid problem and a heart condition, however since having stent fitted things are much improved, I am now finding I am losing weight because I can not taste my food so I am not eating properly.I suffer from very hot flashes should I still be experiencing these at nearly 70 years of age?

The hot flashes could be from your thyroid condition. Is it managed with medication?

You need to see a doctor about this. Some medications and illnesses can cause you to loose your sense of taste or smell. You may have some type of infection, like a sinus infection which could also cause the hot flashes if you have a fever. Call the doctor and make an appointment and don't let them dismiss your symptoms.
