Q: Bad Stomach Symptoms

I have had really bad stomach soreness, rib soreness that radiates to the middle of my back. Both sides of my ribs are sore. I also have stomach soreness and indigestion with gas. Are these normal symptoms of an ulcer or gerd? Particularly the rib soreness that radiates to the back? I have had an upper GI barium which the md said was showing possible gerd. I was on prilosec twice per day which stopped working and he then put me on nexium 40mg twice daily which helps somewhat. I also was diagnosed with an benign hepatic hemangioma. I'm wondering if anyone had any comments on my symptoms etc. thanks in advance
