It sounds like you have BV. You should go to a doctor who will check for you and give you some antibiotics and tell you what to do next.
BV is a thing that tends to keep coming back because people are normally doing something that they do not realise will give them BV. Its really important that when you go to the toilet that you make sure you are clean back there, use wet wipes! switching from anal sex to vaginal sex doesn't help either.(sorry that is a bit embarrassing) If your boyfriend keeps doing it then you probably need to get kid of him! Also you probably already know about NOT doucing and not using scented bath products.
Finally, if your health is poor it also leaves you susceptible to infections.

Hello, I have Gardenella which is a bacterial infection down there. I have fought this for 2 years. I go to the the doctor and they just keep prescribing me medicine which helps temporarily but it always comes back. I spend more time on meds then not which is not healthy. Someone please let me know what u have done

you have to make the doctor listen to you. i am very fisty with my doctor's.
why?
because i have dysfunctional uterine bleeding and it took them a year to diagnosis me. doctor's dont know everything, but if your presistant they will do something about it.
call your doctor and tell him that you want another tests taking to see why you have an odor. usually that is a sign of infection.
but, i remember a few months ago i had a horrible smell, and the doctor said im okay, and it went away. they couldnt answer why, nor could i.
douching will make matters worse, because it takes away from the good bacterial that you have.
while your waiting on your doctor you should also research natural cures herbal rememdies for bacterial infections.

i researched on the internet under herbal remedies bacterial infections gardenella, it had a lot of helpful advice. you should check it out.

Eating bio live yoghurt(its nasty but so much better than having a smelly vaggie) and putting some of the same bio live yogurt there at night.
You can just put some on the outer lips or use a tampon applicator thingie to put some inside your vagina.
You should also cut down on sweets and baked goods like biscuits, not that they cause it but it slows downs your body's abilty to detox itself and means when you get an infection, it will take longer to clear itself up.
This is what I did, and infact still do. I also make sure I wipe pack and front whenever I go to the loo since I learned about the " minute amount of fecal matter that progresses naturally from the anus"!!!
