I have Irregular periods either I have them almost all year round or I have a period for 3 months and then don't for a month. I go to my local Health Department and they really aren't qualified to help my problem but with no health insurance and now no job. It's all I have to help me. I have been this way for at least 10yrs. In 2007 I was put on Provera 10mg for 14 days not the birth control pill. It helped but I haven't had it for a little over a year. 2 weeks ago I was put back on it and now I remember why I never got another prescription.

I got the pills on the 11th my period ended on the 14th but now I have my period again but with these awful pains, what should I do??? I mean the pain hurts so bad that I cry I've taken pain pills but all that does is make me sleep and the moment I wake up I'm still in pain. I've tried a heating pad I've tried ThermaCare heatwraps very hot bath.

In 2007 the health department has a gyn doctor come in like once a month and I got to see her but she was really no help because she told me lets just say you have Menorrhagia and gave me the prescription of Provera the first time. Now when I seen the nurse practitioner on the 11th she said did anyone ever tell you, that you have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome I said no, so she thinks I have that.

Any other suggestions? The health department doesn't give out prescriptions for pain pills and to see the nurse practitioner who also prescribed the pills and did my annual pap is only there on wednesdays.
