okay this is my fault and I have no problem admitting it. I am a disabbled Vet with 4 kids to feed. Thanks to the rising economy and my not being able to work I have reduced my food intake so my kids can eat. Usually one meal a day and not much of one. Well this has been going on for a few months. I went to my doc for an unrelated visit but when weighed I noticed I have lost 30 pounds doing this. This is unacceptable. I decided to start to increase my food intake and now I am having problems. I am currently 6' tall at 133 pounds.

It seems my stumach can no longer fully tolerate certain foods. Mainly meats or anything with soybean oil. I become nausiated and my tummy just feels yucky. Sometimes it comes right back out. Is it possible my bad eating habits caused this to happen. If so how can I "Retrain" my stomach to accept these foods? I need to get those 30 pounds back.

Although this is not because of an eating disorder I am sure it is similar to one. I only reduced my food intake so my children can eat. It was not for personal appearance or social acceptance.

I look forward to your advice.

Thanks

May be by following these home treatment you can improve your food consumption and also gain weight:
1. Banana or mango milk shake consumption (the fruits provide sugar whereas milk provides protein thereby exists a symbiotic relationship)
2. 30 Gms of raisins per day
3. Three soaked dried figs can be eaten twice daily
4. Musk melon for a period of 40 days.
Exercises increase appetite & thereby improve food consumption
1. Yoga (Sarvangasana, Halasana and Matsyasana)
2. Small and frequent meals.

Thanks for the reply. Much of that sounds yummy. I want to verify one thing though. You said musk melon. Well I never heard of that so I looked it up. It looks alot like a cantaloupe. Are they the same? Honeydew was also mentioned in the article. Two things I like to eat but rarely do. Can either of those two be used as the musk melon? I just want to be sure.
