Bacterial Spinal Meningitis and Epidural Abscess

I was diagnosed with bacterial spinal meningitis and also had an epidural abscess in April 2010. I have been off work since and still recovering. I had to have lower back surgery because of the abscess so I have a lot of numbness from the waste down. I also suffer from incontinence, both bladder and bowel. I get really tired and have back pain that causes me to lay down most of the day. I am wondering if anyone else has been through this and how the recovery process went. Please provide as much information as possible.
