Q: Baclofen dosage reduction

I take 30 mg of baclofen daily right now, three times a day. I want to reduce it and wondered how long between reducing pills I should wait. I have gone from five pills to three by reducing one every three weeks. No difference in spasms but great improvement in speech, swallowing and muscle tone! Can I reduce another pill after only two weeks without side effects?

Are you sure that baclofen is directly connected to your speech / swallowing and muscle tone?

I too take 30 mg daily...however I take 3 10mg pills at bedtime and it does not affect me during the day and actually helps me fall asleep since one of the side effects is sleepiness.

Could it be that what you are experiencing are side effects of Baclofen?

Appears that you are decreasing your dosage at a safe pace as by abrupting stopping could cause issues. However I would check with you doctor to make sure you are doing this right.

Best Wishes,

Zig
