So i wont go into great detail here. My back has hurt for years and i cant find a doctor that really wants to tell me what wrong. I watched a movie where a guy gets a procedure done to stop his hands from sweating. (sympathectmy?) He gets a nerve or something in his back messed with. I have notcied for a long time that I get really sweaty hand and feet when im cold and my back hurts when its happening. Is there a nerve in ones back that causes such a thing or am i just stupid for thinking the movie was real. I don't know if i should mention this to my doctor or not and i cant find anything that says its true.
Also, I finally found a doctor that thought to take x-rays of my back and they didn't find anything wrong. I didn't get to talk to her about the results so i don't know what to do next. Should i have an MRI or just deal with the pain?

hello i suffer severe back pain through prolaped disc and you have a sciatic nerve at tailbone of spine,,this can cause alot of problems if irritated..normal x-rays do not detect spinal problems too well so yes,,mri scan is best..any back complaint is worth investigation and maybe all you shall need is gentle physiotherapy to sort it...only a scan will truly detect your painful problem and next step to take action for it..
I feel for you as im now three yrs chronic sufferer.
good luck
