I am taking my meds, now are Neurontin, 3 a day, Tramadol , and tylenol, twice a day and Ambien at bedtime. The pain meds do very little, ice compresses help some. have been taking Epidural shots about one a month, stopped for 6 months , now Dr. Emad Younan, the pain doctor wants me to start again next week. so far they have not worked. maybe he might try something different. I am wondering if there is anything new or another strategy I can try for back pain.

Hello Genny,

Welcome to this forum!!

Sorry to read about the back pain issues you are having.

I would highly recommend that you seek the advice of another doctor. In fact, search for the very best spinal surgeon you can find in your area. Spinal surgeons in my view are the most knowledgable about spine problems, and the best to determine how best to help you.

Be determined to find the best spinal surgeon who you can find.

I will send you an E-mail shortly.

Take care.
