Q: Back Pain for several months

I am 18 years old and about a year ago I developed back pain while playing basketball. I went to the doctor and I had x-rays done, an MRI, and a bone scan. Nothing showed but the doctor treated it as a stress fracture. I was in a brace for 6 weeks and out for the rest of the season. My 6 weeks was up and I went back for my check-up and my back wasn't any better. So I was referred to the pain management clinic where I went twice to recieve trigger point injection shots. (20 of them at one sitting to be exact) Those helped for about 3 months. Then the pain came back and its been back for several months.
I can tell its a muscle. Its on the lower left hand side of my back. The muscle sticks out pretty far. There is always a lump there. I have been to many deep muscle massages and all kinds of doctors and nothing seems to help? Anyone have any ideas on what my problem might be or what I can do to relieve the pain?
Thanks

This sounds a bit unusual, have you shown this lump to a doctor, if so what did they say, are you sure its not bone, the spinous process is the back part of the vertebra you can feel it with your hand straight down the center of your spine, sometimes when people have alignment problems they can shift to the side very slightly, sorry if i am sounding skeptical you are probably right about it being a muscle, is it really hard?

Pelvis Misalignment
You should check if your Pelvis is misaligned. If it is then the Spine needs to do compensate that and this will ultimately lead to imbalanced muscle tensions and pain. Beside therapy you should do self therapy on a daily basis to allow the body a gradual adjustment. The Dorn Method Self Therapy exercises promote this why not give it a try.

VAX-D
Sorry to hear about your pain! Sounds like it might be a disc problem. If you're looking for surgical alternatives, I'd suggest checking out VAX-D - vertebral axial decompression. It's non-invasive and highly effective.

Inversion Therapy Works!!!
I have a similar problem and the only really effective remedy I've found is Inversion Therapy. Inversion offers a system of stretching and exercise that helps to slow or reverse the harmful compression of the body by gravity. I purchase an Inversion Table from Simply Inversion UK almost a years ago and the results have been truly astounding. I hope this may help you. Dave

Well this is not unusual
You may be muscular, and big muscles give big pain, also I recomend to change your mattress get a new orthopedic mattress, even if you had an orthpedic mattress is not helping, Jacussi sections with hot water, swimming in a heated swimming pool do not got back to the same sport who hurted your back. And a chiropractor and accupuntures should be part of your future.
