Q: Back pain and surgical intervention

The neuosurgeon suggested the dynesys stabilization system. I have researched other surgeries as well. The AxiaLif, and X Stop. He didn't mention those to me on the one visit, but the neurologist said that he may feel that is not the best way to go, depending on the areas involved. I am assuming that there are no less invasive surgeries, such as a laser technique, for this surgery. Is it because the stabilization is the big factor? Are there any disadvantages in me waiting at my age? I am very athletic, both in areobics and resistance training, Now however, it is almost impossible to do either one without consequences. Thank you for any input regarding my condition.
