Q: Back from my scan..

& I saw my little one! Very Happy He/she had a strong heartbeat & measured 7 weeks 6 days.. I thought I was 8 weeks 3 days, so not much difference really. The midwife said it could change at my next scan though, so I'm still thinking of my due date as the 22nd for now. I doubt the little monkey will come on time anyway!

He/she just looked like a blob, but the cutest blob I've ever seen Mr. Green I didn't get any pictures sadly, but I should get some at my 12 week scan.

The midwife said she could see a small cyst in my uterus, but it didn't concern her.. she said it wouldn't cause any problems.

I'm going to try not to worry so much about this pregnancy from now on. Now I know my baby is thriving in there I'm a lot happier!

Thanks!

I really don't mind whether it's a boy or a girl.. I'd love a little boy so we have one of each, but we have lots of pink things so another girl would probably be more practical. hehe

As for names, we think we've chosen them, but I'm keeping them a secret for now!

That is great to hear, Zanny! How are you feeling? Did they mention what they think the pains could have been?

I'm soooo glad you got to see the heartbeat! It's so hard to know if your little peanut is alright when they are that small. When they get bigger and you feel them moving all the time, you don't worry as much. My original due date was May 27th, but when I went in for my first ultrasound she was measuring 7w 4d instead of 10 weeks so they changed it. I think it's a common thing.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Very Happy

Ingi, the midwife didn't know what the pain could be.. she couldn't find anything wrong. If it comes back I'll ring them & see what they say.

If it comes back just go to a regular emergency room. WHen i had that pain and went to the obgyn dr they didnt do much but look at my kidneys and liver and the baby of course but told me next time to go to an internal medicine hospital. They will take a look at your gallbladder if you let em know you think its gallbladder related. Thats what I had to do. But hopefully it doesnt come back. But if it does i suggest the regular ER and not labor and delivery from my own experience on that.
