Hi. I am a 35 year old female that was unfortantlely diagnosed with Osteopenia 2 years ago in my Lumbar. At that time I also got the diagnoses that my Vitamin D was severly difficiant. (16.5) For the last 2 years I've been battling with the up and down Vitamin D levels as well as High Cholesterol and I've passed 2 Kidney Stones. I recently have been having major back pains down my spine/thoraic region and also muscle weekness in my joints, thighs, calves and wrists. Also pain in my muscles. I recently had another Bone Dexa Scan and it revealed that my Osteopenia is now in my Femur as well as my Lumbar. My Vit D is still 23 and now I'm deficiant in B too. The Xrays for my spine/thoraic were normal but that is all I've had done for it so far.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what my pain could be from? I know research says Vit D deficiancy creates muscle pain and weekness, could this be it? Also worried I might have Osteomalacia or something like that.

Another issue is my physician just put me on Actonal 35 however as you know, this is not made for women in "pre-menapausal" years so they had to put an IUD in to make sure I never got pregnant. Another question is with all the above what is the probability of me having a healthy Bone Formed (not rickets) child if I choose? I really don't think I will ever get to make that decision but thought I would ask.

Your thoughts? Rolling Eyes
