Hi everyone,

Has anyone ever heard of this before? I am breast feeding my second child and every once in a while she vomits a feeding and it will land on me or when I clear her up and my skin contacts the vomit I get a red rash and it wont go away. I have been to the doctor and they told me that I am getting the rash from the Dtap shot I got at the hospital after delivery. I really need to help here the rash hurts and my hands are getting swollen.

thanks

I think the rash and the vomit are unrelated. It's your milk! You can't be allergic to it. The swelling and redness are probably from what your doctor said they are, and if you had an IV, you will have swelling from that as well. Make sure you are getting plenty of fluids in your body to flush out the drugs and make enough milk for your baby and to keep you hydrated. It's a tough job taking care of yourself at this time, but it's important not to forget!
