So I had a Dr. Appt the 27th and I got to hear the babies heart beat! It was amazing! Its the most beautiful sound I have ever heard! I cant wait till my next appt. to hear it again!

Also they measured me to see if I was in the right range for 12 weeks and said I was way bigger then im supposed to be, so eaither Im further along then we thought or Its twins... Shocked I wish I had a cam so I would put up pictures for you all to see, im am already huge... Shocked Lol.

hearing the heart beat is great isnt it

those arent teh only two reasons for being bigger, you could have extra amniotic fluid, the baby could be just big, and other things that if i wasnt so tired im sure i could think of lol

are you getting an ultrasound soon? measuring too big can be a problem and they really need to do an ultra sound to be sure (even if its just as simple as your dates it can cause problems because if they think your not as far along as you really are they will keep the baby in there longer and that could cause problems

they would keep the baby in longer??
if the baby is further along, when she gets closer to the due date, would she not just give birth instead of on the day they mapped out for her?
im sure if her water breaks or if shes having frequent contractions they would not keep the baby in...
just wondering..

oh i did not know that.

could that medicine they give you to stop premature labour affect the baby if its the baby's time to come out, but doctors had gotten the due date wrong?

the medicines they give can stop contractions and if you stop contractions you stop labor, the good thing is (in situtaions like this hypotetical one) that they dont always work, but if it would work yes it could seriously harm the baby because the placenta only works for so long, after the baby is ready to come out the placenta starts to deteriorate and your baby would be deprived of oxygen and nutriants and could very well die (im not saying this WILL happen to anyone im just letting you know)

i went 6 days over due with my daughter and didnt want an induction unless it was nessesary so i studied a lot about the placenta and going over and still birth and stuff like that, i wanted to be sure i made an informed decision lol
