Not really worried so much as curious. . . but lately (34 weeks) she has been getting hickups about 2 or 3 times a day. It's definatly not a problem for me, it just means I get to feel her move more, but I find it hard to believe when the books tell me it doesn't bother her. Usualy after the 1st 5 minutes with the kickups, she'll start to squirm a bit.

What causes these hickups anyway?
Anyone else expiriencing this?

Hey I just wrote to you in another forum ... haha my girl had the hicups easily 5 times a day ... and now that she's out she is still getting them lots ... normally twice a day. The doctor's say she is fine but just greedy and takes in food to fast and in my womb must of been gulping up fluid to fast also. Maybe youve got a little piggy in there like I did.

You make me wish I was pregnant already again!! I miss all these small things sooo much. The kicking, the hickups (both times my boys had LOTS of them), just being pregnant. Is this your first? I know the absolute worst part of being pregnant is afterwards when the baby is born you're left with a jelly blob of a stomach. So empty. It's horrible!

I'm with you vcaone! I wanna be pregnant again so bad! lol.

Hiccups are when your diaphragm spasms. The only reason ours have a sound to them is because there is air rushing past your throat. Since there is no air around your baby, they don't make any sound.

Plus hiccups mean your baby is growing Wink (I know it's not true, but if you think about it, it kinda makes sense, doesn't it?)

Worst part about being pregnant being the jelly belly? Pfff the worst part was the labour!!! Well my labour lasted 3days and I almost died so thats probably why I have that belief. But I didn't get a jelly blob lol lucky me my stomach just went back to normal EXCEPT for the dark line that runs up my front lol ... when does that fade? I've been a mum now for almost 3 weeks and every time I wear a bikini I feel like people are staring at me thinking i've spilt something down my front lol.
