Azoospermia
My husband was diagnosed with azoospermia one month ago...he went through a surgical biopsy and found no sperms .. They told us he has something called complete maturation arrest.. He is now taking vitamins and pills and we will go through a microdissection surgery in 6 months to find out if they can find any mature sperms.. Sometimes I feel so devastated and depressed ..but I keep on praying and asking god for a miracle.. My dream is to have a baby with my husband...please pray for us..and is there any similar story out there?

We just found out that my husband has azoospermia. We've been trying to get pregnant for 2 years and finally decided to go to a doctor, it was devastating news. We're just starting the process and we're doing more tests next week. I mentioned the possibility of using donor sperm to him and he completely freaked out and said that he wouldn't be able to love a child as much that wasn't his genetically. I'm hoping to hear good news next week and we will be able to extract sperm through surgery.

Anyone have any experience with sperm extraction? My husband isn't too keen on someone cutting into him, but we really want kids...

Ugh... so upset.

Azoo with varicolcele, maturation arrest
Just wanted to touch base...my DH has the same exact diagnosis. He had three large varicolces that were repaired in March. During the repair they did a mtese and discovered sperm but they were all immature and he was diagnosed with maturation arrest. Our doctor told us the varicolces could have contributed to the maturation arres so we are hoping that now that they varicolces have been repaired he will start producing fully mature sperm, but it can take up to a year. His next SA is October 5th. In the meantime, he's on Clomid and doing accupuncture twice a week and taking Chinese Herbs...what is the latest with you guys? Have you had any further SA? I'd love to hear what your experience has been since this last post.

No Sperm (Azoospermia)

Azoospermia refers to a condition in which there is no measurable amount of sperm in the semen, which is usually discovered through semen analysis. A diagnosis of azoospermia doesn't mean that conception is impossible. Many causes of azoospermia can be successfully treated to restore fertility.
Causes of Azoospermia

Azoospermia can be caused from a transport problem when there is a blockage that prevents sperm from mixing with semen (obstructive azoospermia), or from a problem with the production of sperm (non-obstructive azoospermia).
