Azithromycin to cure Chlamydia

Hello,

I had unprotected sex with a girl that turns out had Chlamydia and I've been having a burning sensation occasionally from my penis while peeing. I am currently traveling but a friend is coming to visit me and she is bringing me Azithromycin. I just wanted to make sure that the dosage is 1 gram and that's it ? she is bringing 500 mg tablets. Does that mean I simply take 2 of the tablets in 1 day and that's it ? I understand it takes a full week to completely cure the Chlamydia but I wanted to make sure I simply take 1 gram of the thing and not 7 grams (2 tablets of 500 mg x 7 days).
