Q: anxiety causing pain in veins

my viens are much more noticible on my forarms hands,ankels,chest/breast area,due to stress it can hurt at times some times alot but nothing thatll stop me from anything,i had a EKG and everything fine,my BP is great,my blood work is great as well but....when i have axiety the vien painj accurs so anyone with the same thing,i feel alone

Don't feel alone. We all here at ehealth are here to be there for you, even if it isn't in a bodily manner. I also have veins that are more visible. This usually is something that is genetic or caused by increased blood flow (pregnancy). I don't think that your veins visibility is really the cause of your pain, especially since your tests came out OK. Just consider it more like a nervous pain....and that you do have control over it.

Are you taking any medications or seeing a therapist? When you start to feel this pain, take a break from what you are doing. Close your eyes and relax and imagine yourself as the commander of your body, because that is what you are. Tell yourself that nothing has control over you to make you feel this way. Go inside your own head and calm down those nerve impulses that are making you feel those pains....because that is where they come from, not your body.
