Q: Awww...Stretch Marks!!!

Oh man today I noticed my first baby stretch marks....and Gosh Darn it I dont want them...lol

I noticed them today as I was putting on my coccoa butter. I have them on either side of my belly beginning at my hip bones. I do have a big tattoo covering most of them (on left side)...thats why I havent noticed them sooner. But Im kinda bummed.... = ( I also noticed them under each boob...haha

(most of the stretch marks are on the tattoo thats my aviator-the sea turtle...poor thing)

I was hoping I would be one of those lucky 1st time mommies that got their pre-pregnant bellies back. I guess Im not so lucky. But what can you do right?

Well I am going to order some Avon creams and hope it can help them. They have this new one out that sounds good. Even though it probably wont work, I feel I need to at least try.

Anyone else feel this way?

I think everyone feels that way! It is one of the first 'battle scars' of motherhood though. Your body will not ever be the same. Your hips will be wider, your stomach will be a little different. You'll have cellulite where you didn't think about it before. Your boobs will be a bit saggier and, you know what? You'll be someone's mom and that is more important than a perfectly flat stomach and somewhat floppier boobs, isn't it?

Its all worth it in the end.

yeah igni you are right. I keep telling myself its a small price to pay for the giving of life. I usually dont stay hung up on stuff like this...so im sure its just the initial shock. In a few days I'll be fine...damn hormones!!!

LMAO....Just gotta focus on the positive rather than the negative...thanks for the support.

lol i have wicked stretch marks under my boobs! i hate them so much!
and i have alot more stretch marks on the sides of my belly and upper thighs, inner and outer thighs..it sucks.
there was a commercial about a product called bio-oil. its supposed to help reduce the visibility of stretch marks, scars and what not. im not sure how good the stuff is though.
but its all worth it in the end Smile you get a baby out of it all Razz

yeah isnt it weird that you get them under the boobs??? At least wering a low cut shirt or bathing suit shows those off. I guess all that weight causes them. I have had stretch marks on my boobs since I was 13 so Im used to those, but that doesnt mean I want more...!!!

I also have them on my thighs and hips from weight gain and weight loss. I have had time to accept those too.

yeah the stuff from avon costs 25.00 for 5 oz. Thats a lot of money. I will splurge this one time, but my hopes arent up

i have bio oil, it's made mine fade alot but they're never going to go away completly and i've just started to not care now, i'll wear a bikini and be proud of my slightly saggy, wobbley, stretch mark ridden belly because my daughter grew inside of there

YOU GO GIRL !!!

I need to hear this kind of support...lol. Thanks for the post. I will look into the bio oil, but 1st I will try the Avon stuff. If that doesnt help then I will just leave it be. I know that wont ever go away, but hopefully something can help make them look nicer...hehe.

I showed hubby my marks. He sarcasitcally said..."OH MY GOD are you serious, that happens when you have a baby?""
Then continued to tell me about all the mothers he has been with and to not worry and that he thinks moms are the sexiest thing. So I feel real good now.

Im almost to motherhood

I THOUGHT I had avoided stretchmarks. But somewhere between 35 and 37 weeks my stomach became a reflection of a tiger! I was very upset when they first started showing up. I even cried when I looked at them. But now, since Reyna's been born, I show them off. I'm like "look, my baby gave me a tiger tat" Very Happy

i found this website a couple days ago...i dont have stretch marks yet but i want to try my hardest to prevent them so i was looking for diff. cremes...They have a lot of diff. stuff on this website....WWW.pregnancybellybalm.com. Reading some of the reviews of women thats tried it, it sounds promising but then again i guess products will do that just to sell. I wish i didnt worry about getting them so much, but dh hasnt hardley touched me in about 3 wks (im getting a little bit of a belly.) im not sure if its that or not but that def. makes me want to avoid stretch marks even more!!!

yep still awhile. But it goes by so fast! Enjoy each day, they just fly by. I am already gonna be 28 weeks and I cant beleive how close my due date is creeping up on me.

I just got my stretch marks so you probably have a long ways to go until yours pop up, if you have any at all. I didnt start using my creams and such until I started to really pop out, which was at about 22-24 weeks. Maybe if I used it sooner I would have lucked out.

So at least you have a head start. = )

Im due Sept 5. But I have a feeling hes coming early. I dont want to get my hopes up on the actual date. So I just keep telling myself he will come at the end of Aug or early Sept. That way I dont disappoint myself.

Whats your due date?

I really like Brayden. Its strong and unique. if it was a girl her name would be Abigail Louise. Those are my middle names mixed up. Also Abigail is an old family name and Louise has been the middle name of all the women in my family. So my daughter would be the 5th generation to have Louise name????

But I have been having dreams that I give birth to a girl and everyone in the room gets real quiet when they see the baby. I ask whats wrong and hubby goes "its a girl"...hehe

Since we are having a boy (per ultrasound) I dont know what the name will be. I left it up to hubby to decide since this is his 1st son. He has decided to keep it a surprise until he signs the birth certificate. So not even I will know. Its nice to have a little surprise. But I know hes thinking about Adam or Daniel. So we will see.

Whats your name for a girl?

thanks! Abigail is very pretty, my friend who is getting ready to have her baby in july is naming her girl that but its spelled diff. Louise must be more common than i thought!! That was my great gmas name and is my sisters middle name. Thats a funny dream. I have weird dreams too. Most of my dreams will have snakes in them...i went to a dream site and it said preg. women that dream about snakes are most likely to give birth to a boy. Who knows. Yea surprises are nice. Thats funny how hes doing it. Adam and Daniel are both good names. We actually havent thought of girl names. We really need to i guess. But we will find out the sex in about 4 wks. I really think its a boy though.
