Q: avoiding carpal tunnel syndrome ?

i am a pianist and i'm worried that i may develop carpal tunnel syndrome. i've been told how to hold my wrists, but i'm wondering if there's any waqy i can know for sure i won't get ot. so, are there any musicians in the house?
