Q: Avaine/Alesse prevent lumps and cancer?

Im 19 yrs old and have been havin benign breast lumps since i was 16yrs old. I rrecently bought birth control pills the generic version to ALESSE, AVIANE for my acne and read the instructions that says if you have breast lumps you should ask your doctor. I haven't had a chance to speak with my doctor so i want to know.....

IF they will cause more lumps or even cause me to develop cancer? On an Alesse poster i say that it says it helps DECRESE breast lumps and ovarian cancer! So im very confused!!

Also are generic birhtcontrol pills bad?
Do Alesse/Aviane make acne go away?
Do you gain wait from this pill or any other BirthControl pill?
