Hey everyone, I'm Red, 26yo female. Obviously I'm new here or I wouldn't be posting. Ha.

Anyway... I'm kind of a medical mystery to my doctors. I have to go to an autonomic specialist 3 states away and I go in and out of autonomic failure.

I don't even know what that is.

I have also had a pulmonary embolism which may or may not be related?

I pass out 3-6 times a week with meds and a pacemaker. Before diagnoses and treatment it was 6-10 times a day.

And I'm a SI'er with PTSD. Fun fun fun.

Guess that's it for now. Just feel kind of confused and hoping someone here knows what it's like to pass out all the time... maybe one one of the doctors can actually EXPLAIN what autonomic dysfunction/failure is... maybe I am just typing into space to myself like I always do.

Peace,
Red

Welcome here Red.
I do know what it is like to pass out all the time. All though I was passing out because I was allergic to the meds they were giving me.
It took the almost a year to figure that out. The only reason we did figure it out was I went away and ended up not having enough meds due to being snowed in somewhere and once I stopped taking the meds the passing out started happening less and less. I still pass out but only once and a while. I am on a heart transplant list but I have so many other issues to worry about. I have given it all to God to handle for me and I just do my best to get through each day.
Any time you want to talk PM me

It's terrifying to pass out and not know why. I'm glad you were able to figure out it was a med problem! Heart transplant? That's even scarier. Good luck and thank you so much for replying. It's nice to know you aren't talking to yourself.

Hey Red
one thing you get from being here is the understanding that almost every one here has an issue with health so we all learn compassion, i don't know what the deffinition of your illness is I actually have a friend here in Australia who is suffering from this but not very often. I have found a lot of improvement with my health through investigating for myself & one thing has always led me to realise there is one part of the body that has a hell of a lot of control over our functioning & it seems that medicine does not know or doesn't want to let on for what ever reason but this part is thr thyroid & it's correct function is relyant directly on mineral balance irf you want go to this educational site ithyroid.com if nothing else it makes interesting reading, but i have used it & other info to actually turn my health around & slowly i'm getting results. If i can be of any further help or you just want to chat you can send a message by clicking my "behind the 8 ball " picture beside my user name & send a message.Good luck
God Bless!
