Hi. I went to my podiatrist for a pulling feeling under my ankle. It only hurt when I walked upstairs or was standing up from a kneeling position other than that I had no pain at all. Long story short I had a MRI and it said: anterior talofibular ligament is not seen and presumed torn also small multiloculated ganglion cyst at the posterior aspect of the ankle. All other ligaments and tendons were intact. What does it mean when a MRI doesnt see a ligament? Thank You
