My left eye has had this problem where images seem to be vertically doubled in the most irritating manner. The further away I am the more pronounced the problem. When I got my last prescription for eyeglasses, that eye was "pl. -1.75x97" I tried to get contacts but after 5 different sets, they still couldn't find one that would correct and maintain its orientation.
The glasses I have help keep things mostly in focus, but for this eye everything still seems a bit blurry and hard to focus on with this strange doubled image effect. I'll include a couple images for what the effect is like at 2ft from the computer screen and 10ft from the screen for reference.
On a side note, I think the problem with this eye has led me to subconsciously close it when reading up close and now when I close it it drifts something like 10 degrees left of center.
Any ideas? Any advice is appreciated... I'm short on cash and can't see a doctor.
