it all started just this Januay, I am a female, 20 years of age. I began to experience short breaths and dry cough. As the days and weeks passes i began to experience back pain and headache. At night, during short breaths, i began to notice/heard this whistling sound when i exhale,. This March, i developed a congested nose because of the cold weather i guess. and after one or two days i got cold...I was diagnosed with sinusitis at the age of 13.
I started to take nasathera and solmux mucolytic, my cough worsen and also the whistling sound especially at night, sometimes i feel that my chest and throat tightened. So i stop taking those meds.
until now, during at night, sometimes i feel chest and throat tightness. I also cough but only when it is a cold night or when i eat food that makes my throat itchy. I still heard this whistling sound. I am now taking xzyal after supper.
My mother told me that when i was a baby i was brought to hospital and stay there for 1-2 weeks. I was given nebulised salbutamol. All i know i was brought to hospital because of too much cough and runny nose. My mom forgot if it was asthma or bronchitis i was diagnosed of. She also told me that she always brought me to beach every early morning, and my beddings must be always changed a very week. as i grew up i i always have this runny nose almost every month.

Thanks...

Asthma is a complex combination of patterns. Runny nose, blocked nose, or itchiness in the eyes, throat and nose infections can bring on asthma episodes. Most people with asthma wheeze, but not everyone who wheezes has asthma. You should suspect allergies, asthma, or both, especially if these conditions run in the family.

Asthma caused by trigger foods can be identified by ALCAT test.
