I've been married for 33 years, sex with only him and he only with me. I have Ascus paps off and on over the last few years. I had one last year, but hadn't had one for the previous four years. Last year I went for a colposcopy after I had an Ascus pap. She didn't even see anything to biopsy. I went today for my pap. I can't get it out of my head that this one is going to be Ascus too. Help me with my fears. Also, I'm HPV negative, and I'm almost 53 years old.

ascus
you have nothing to worry about. Only one partner and your husband has had only one partner and you are HPV negative, then your ascus results mean absolutely nothing. hpv is the cause of cervical cancer. each parnter someone has, the more their likelihood of getting cervical cancer increasees. you can be at peace.
