I am taking Diclofenac for osteoathritis but it has limited effect -especially at night when I wake up at 3am and then take 2 paracetamol for pain. I have asthma (I am on serotide) and have had nasal polyps (nasonex) and am now a bit scared about what all these drugs are doing to me. I can't sleep without pain relief. Can you give me some advice?

Hello and welcome to E health forum.

The presence of persistant inflammation in the joints is the cause of your pain.

The medications in the prescribed dosage will not be harmful.

For proper treatment and relief of complete pain, you might consult a orthopedist for definitive treatment of your arthritis ( Arthroplasty, joint replacement).
