Q: ARS symptoms after exposure

Hello friends,
my question is,can ARS(HIV Symptoms) occure an year after the possible exposure?or they show symptoms with in 2-6 weeks?and how long ars last in infected body?

ARS symptoms usually occur within 2 to 4 weeks following initial infection, and very rarely occur 6 or more weeks after exposure.
These symptoms last 3 to 14 days and go away on their own.
Symptoms aren't reliable for diagnosis of HIV, only tests for HIV.

I had a protected vaginal sex with a women of unknown status and unknown to me as well.But during intercourse condom got damaged and realised after 2-3 minuts.Now an year later i am suddenly having sore throat followed by fever around 100 F.Could this me ars or any thing else?

The cause of sore throat and fever, can be due to viral infections, such as flu or mononuclosis.
It could be caused by bacterial infection, strep throat, too.
