Q: Arranging scenarios in head

I was just diagnosed with rapid-cycling bipolar-disorder the other day. (i changed doctors and am looking for a new therapist) i'm now taking symbyax.
Anyways, I was wondering if this is considered a hallucination...
When I am alone in my house I talk to people that arent there. Usually they are people that I know in my social circle. I will actually talk like i'm having a normal convo and answer questions and stuff. It's kind of like Tom Hanks with the volleyball Wilson on Castaway. I've done this since high school. It's like when i'm alone doing things my house is filled with people and I talk to them. I never do this with people around as I know this probably makes me look insane. I arrange scenarios like for instance, If I like a guy I will pretend he is there talking. Or, I will pretend i'm rich. And sometimes I just rant and rave out loud about things. Is this a symptom of bipolar disorder or is this something else? Would you consider me talking to people that aren't there hallucinating? Does anyone else do this?

questions for you!
I'm just an adolescent or something xD So I don't have knowlegde about disorders like therapists do. Sorry if I can't help you.

BUT you asked does someone else do this...
I do it for fun sometimes =)

Can I ask you a few things?
Sorry I'm curious!!

You said your house is filled with people who are not really there.
You said you don't do it when there are real people around.
1. Do you sence these not real people when you are around real people?
2. Can you see them, the same way you see real people, with your eyes?

You said usually a not real person is from your social circle.
3. Do you sometimes confuse the real people with the not real people?
Example: Did you ever have conflicts with the people from real life about conversations/agreements/arguments you had with the not real person? (which you of course asumed to be the real person)

You said you sometimes rant and rave out loud about things.
4. Could you please give an example??

And to answer your question about what I concider hallucinating, it is my oppinion, so it's not the definition of hallucinating.
BUT I concider hallucinating actually Seeing and hearing the in your case, people.

Thanks for reading.
You don't have to answer my questions.
But if you do, MAYBE I can try to help you.
Or someone that has knowledge might be able to give you better help!

WOW! I totally do this all the time! A lot when I'm in bed lying awake at night. I'd like to know the answer to this too, since...I am still Mood Disorder NOS.
