Pain Management Answer A4461
Current medical status: My arms hurt when not being used. Mostly at night/early morning when I'm sleeping. I wake up to them huting... on a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being severe pain this is a 7. Very Unbearable. Causing me to lose sleep. Nothing feels out of wack in my back. Trying to avoid xrays due to being 4 months pregnant. After waking up my arms take about half an hour to feel "normal." I have to use them to make the pain go away. If I lay back down, they start tingleing, and if I fall back to sleep I wake up with severe pain.
Current medical treatment: Electrode shock pads on my upper back/neck area. Also 2 weekly visits to Chiropractor

A pinched neck spinal nerve is a very possible option but it would need to be proven with an MRI of the neck spine.

An MRI won’t affect the pregnancy because it doesn’t use X-rays. Another possible option could be carpal tunnel syndrome which can be provoked by the pregnancy. You may want to consult an orthopedist and neurologist about this.
