I am a 22 year old, i have had 5 kids. i have had problems with my last pregnancy. i had blood transfussions, and im anemic.i dont remember much of my past but my mother said they thought i had leukemia when i was 4 years old. now i am having more problems.
i had a little knot that has been in my for years. well last week it was getting on my nerves because it was getting bigger. there is no head on it or anything. sad to say it grew the size of not a baseball but a softball. i went to e.r. and there is no sign of infection, and they checked my white cells because of past history. i had to go back to the e.r. today because the lymphoid had sweelled so much that they busted. i was 4 wheeling and rubbed them raw and one poped. i still have 2-3 more large ones in the same arm pit. when it busted it leaked all night. and soaked threw the bandages plus 3 shirts. it was nasty looking, and then sometimes brown blood comes out of it. sometimes it has a smell and sometimes not. the doctor said that it was not a absest, but it is abnormal. i was told to take napoxine and keep badges on it for it top drain in. i go to see the surgeon Thursday to see what to do.
i am nausea throwing up every thing i eat. i have lost 20 pounds in the last month, dizzy, and i have aches all over my body plus pain down my back. im starting to get where daily functions are hard on me. memories loss i have always had. threw out growing up i never got treated for the leukemia. my parents give me the choice is to go back and see if that is what it was and get treated but i never wanted to know because those kids made me sad.
my mom has breast cancer, i know it aint that. and my cousin josh was diagnosed with hodgeskins at the age of 22. alot of young people in my family have some sort of cancer. do you know any possible ideas of what is going on with me?

Unfortunately, I cannot offer you a specific diagnosis over the internet based upon the information that you have provided. However, I do agree that you should see a surgeon, and perhaps have one or more of these lesions biopsied in the hope that this will provide you with a diagnosis.

Sincerely/ Robert A. Wascher, MD, FACS
