My husband had been using a CPAP machine for 7 years for sleep apnoea. He hated it & I hated it as the sounds it made were as bad as his snoring. A friend told us about a mouth guard he used, that opened the airway at the back of the throat, that treated snoring & sleep apnoea. We decided to check it out. My husband had the Mandibular Advancement Splint fitted, which was custom made for him. That was nearly 2 years ago. He's happier & so am I & we both get a better nights sleep. We got the guard from Snorex Qld in Brisbane. This might be helpful to others.

Hi, I, too, live with this problem...My husband could wake the house up...He used a mouth guard, but I am going to look into the fitted splint...Right now I use ear plugs every night and I find them miserable...Thanks again for your advice...Take care...

To stop snoring do exercise, loose your weight, quit smoking and alcohol, establish your regular sleep patterns.
There are many causes of snoring. Try to stop snoring so that it cannot spoil your relationship with your family.

Snoring
While it's true that losing weight and not smoking or drinking can certainly help with snoring, sometimes it's something physical as well. The mouthguards can work well if fitted correctly and used per direction.
