I love cats and dogs-no matter how bad you feel or how hectic your day has been an animal will always be there to greet you home....My cat Bart is 14 years old and the best cat we have ever had..Over the years we have had at least 7 cats..Two we gave away when we had to move out of state-1 ran away when we were overseas, the others have lived out full lives..He is winding down in life and I think that any day he will breath his last..I watch him and the tenderness in him is amazing..He follows me everywhere always wants to be touching..His eyes hold so much caring in them..Yep-I believe he loves me or at least adores me..He has been therapeutic for me..His motor sounds relaxe me..I dread when he passes he has been a very good friend and I have vowed to not get another cat..The litter is hard for me to handle anymore and the mess is gross..

My two dogs are wonderful..Everyone sleeps in the bed and my Yorkie is a devoted lap dog..The other dog is matured now at 8 years old..Took her a while and she treats the Yorkie like shes her baby..

I love animals...We have had them since our youngest was 5 years old...We now have Yorkie twins...A boy and a girl...Cassie and Charlie...They are 3 but think they are 2...Spoiled...You have got to be kidding...The girl is brilliant...The boy is dumb as a brick..She is the normal color of a Yorkie and he looks like a light brown baby lion cub...They race through the house like the Kentucky Derby...They adore my husband and our son who lives close to us...With all the trouble they have gotten in and operations for swallowing things, plus overnight visits for finding grease downstairs, and one swallowing a screw and the other an eraser, I figure those dogs are worth the price of a small car...Then add to this an addition on the Sun Porch that made it a full year room with heat and air conditioning, which again made it an additional room to be burglar alarmed, it is a lot...But we just plain love them...

They do not sleep with us...They are sleeping in the library now as I speak with the door closed...Each in their own cage...But come 6 A.M. and their day begins...Now I have got to get to bed as my husband will wake me up at 9 it is 2:08....Night kd....C

I love our dogs so much lucky(female) charlie(male), both saved from death row so to speak they are both so loving. They were abused before we got them Charlie has tell tail signs of broken ribs & when we got him he Feared men severely, He soon got hungry & realised that not all humans are bad, now after 4 yrs with charlie he is a cuddly a minute type of dog but still doesn't trust any one new. We think charlie is about 7 yrs old.
Lucky is about a year older & we've had her from about 1 yr. The Day i picked her up from the pound she sang at me as i walked up to her compound as if to say pick me! We bonded straight away she is such a happy playfull & attension seaker & often sings to, the door bell, phone jingle, her choice of music or me singing.
18 months ago she had a severe case of bowel cancer where she was passing streams of blood, as vetinary treatment was out of budget we decided to research this & started a nutritional treatment which after 12mths she seems to be cured & back to her old playfull self. It's thanks to her encouraging me to research health issues that has led me to cure my cronic asthma, lower my bp from 150/80 to 122/64, eliminated the severe muscle cramps i had that are associated with MS that my sister has & is slowly helping with a lot of other symptoms associated with cfs or M.E. So to loose her would be deviastating i know it will happen one day but for now they are our Gems!

I was brought up all my life with dogs. I love my labrador called (sox) and my jack russell called (bouncer). They were both rescused from bad owners sox was so nervous i had to find a dog councellor to help her..Bouncer was kicked up and down a stair case and now after 4 yrs with me he is happy and such a beautiful character he has turned out.
When anyone of the family is ill, they know an constanty sit by them. When you feel down they make you smile and great company and all they ask in return is to be loved, played with, walked and fed..
Sox is now 6 and i got her at 8 months. bouncer is now 4 and my son rescued him at 5 months.
They are still my babies and always shall be and i love them dearly. They are family no matter what and i always say a good dog is only how its treated. The more love you give them the higher the reward and loyalty they give you back..

i was raised with a cat, german shepard female dog, gold fish, hamster, turtle, frogs.
i feel like my life isnt complete without animals. right now i live in an apartment that doesnt allow pets. i m planning on getting a golden bear hamster and beta fish.
a beta fish lives long in a fish bowl w/o the air filters.
and i live in florida, i have travel just to find a store that sells the golden bear hamster. this was never a problem when i live up north.
they say this type of hamster is always sick so some stores dont sell them.
i also want a land turtle. i dont know how i feel about the turtles that eats feeder fish.

My poor cat is getting closer and closer to his last breath..I keep waiting and all I can do is watch and let him curl up in my arms..He doesn't seem to be in pain though he does yowl and night and will settle down once he is called..I believe he has leukemia- he eats like crazy but he is skin and bones..
Other than the time he was fixed my cat does not go outdoors exceot to sit onthe front porch..He doesn't really care for it and never has..He's certainly a lover and not a fighter..
Service U-a land turtle they are cool to watch..I really don't know much about hamsters and didn't know there were different kinds..Learn something new everyday..:^)
I agree Ioka that the animals we have give us more than they receive no matter how hard we try an animal is there through thick and thin alwasy willing to please..No wonder they can help lower BP and quiet a scared child..kd
