The pill can make your periods very light and very short, or even totally absent. What you experience when you are on the pill is not menstruation, but withdrawal bleeding when the pill hormones in your body drops below a certain point.
It is also not true that you will bleed from day 1 to day 7. Your period may only be a few days, and start right at the end of the week.
If you do not bleed in the next 12 days, tell your doctor and take a pregnancy test for just in case. More often than not, it is not a problem.
