My wife was in car accident and is having such terrible pain that she cannot live with it. It is so extreme. She has terrible pain in her temples she tells me it feels like a vein or artery hitting a nerve. Everytime she talks, chews or does any kind movement with her jaw it hits. She is crying all the time because of how bad it is. She was told she has displaced TMJ discs on the left and right, but the left is where the problem is. She has a medial displacement on that side, and something the jaw or something else is hitting into nerves. She is in pain constantly, and has given up hope. Is there anyone out there with something similar? Please share your story with us.
Medially displaced disks are a risk for contacting the nerve and causing a neuritis of sorts. This is a case of consulting with an oral surgeon who has vast knowledge of the TMJ's.
