Anyone had an episiotomy revision?

I had my baby in Feb 2010. My husband and I haven't been able to have intercourse without me having extreme pain. I went to the ob/gyn and they explained I have scar tissue and would need surgery to have it removed. Im curious to know how recovery is. How was the pain afterwards? Was it anything like child birth recovery? I was told that it wasn't very common and it just happens. Nothing I or the Dr did or didn't do. I have been breastfeeding and this is the reason for the delayed surgery. Anyone have any info about this I wouldlove to hear about it. Thanks!
