Hi, I was wondering if it would be a problem to start a new pack of pills on Monday (after period) for someone that is usually a Sunday pill starter. I've been on birth control for over 6 years and am a little concerned because I had sex on Friday (during inactive pill time, but was not spotting/bleeding from menstruation) and completely forgot to buy a new pack of pills, and have to wait until Monday to do so. Should I go ahead and take two pills on Monday, or should I take Plan B on Monday instead? Please help! Thanks

Welcome to ehealthforum

If before the sexual contact you had been taking the regular pills on the same time daily then it is fine to take two pills on Monday but it should not be more than 12 hours apart from the regular schedule.If it is more than that consider using additional protection during intercourse for pregnancy prevention.
