I've always been a bigger girl and when I met my husband I was a chubby single mom @ 5'7 and 215 lbs while he tipped the scales at a mere 130 lbs (he's also 5'7). Afraid of what others would think about being so much bigger than my boyfriend I frantically tried to lose weight and got to under 200 lbs until I got pregnant. My weight soarded and while our 1st child together (my 2nd child) recently turned 3 years old, I recently tipped the scales at 293 lbs *sigh*. Of course through all this good old hubby didn't gain a lb, he's still skinny as ever.
I always suspected that being a bigger girl I could overpower him if I wanted but have never wanted to purposely emasculate him. I was greatful that this guy stuck around through the pregnancy (unlike the first) and has been a great partner and father--don't want to run him off lol!
Anyways, recently we were playing a game of yahtzee (yes we are a bit boring) and after beating him twice in a row he frowned and I could tell he was getting frustrated (I tend to beat him at boardgames lol). He got up to get a glass of water and as he returned to the living room I mockingly asked if he had had enough or wanted another beatdown. Nothing wrong with a little competition and teasing in a relationship right?
He just looked at me and I took it as a 'no' and started putting the boardgame away. Two seconds later and he grabs me and we're wrestling around on the floor. A little play wrestling is chicken soup for the soul, but it soon got a bit competitive. While we weren't out for blood, it was quickly apparent that neither of us wanted to lose as we rolled around, grunting with effort. It wasn't long before I found myself on top of him, with him unable to get out. I could tell he was embarrased so I let him up and he climbed to his feet quickly with a variety of excuses from "I got lucky" to "he wasn't trying" to "I caught him offguard" etc..
His rants fueled my competitive side and I told him to rematch me if he thinks it would make a difference. So there we were, kids sleeping soundly down the hall, and hubby and I circled eachother in the living room. He lunged at me but at 293 lbs he just doesn't have the muscle to take me down. After a struggle, I not only took him to the ground, but as we rolled around, I wound up (accidentally) knocking the wind out of him as I ended up on top again. Pin. Again. At this point, I'm not sure who was more embarrased, him or me . For some reason I began to get self conscious as I realized my huge weight advantage was too much for him. Since the incident we have talked openly about it, and I've reassured him I don't think any less of him, and that I would never tell his friends. Although he admitted to it being a blow to his ego, he jokingly admitted that his friends already think I can kick his ass. LOL. Keeping the humor of the moment, I told him that I guess we confirmed it, but they don't have to know. He couldn't help but laugh a little, thanks he said.
