I seem to have my anxiety bother me the most around menstruation time every month. That's when It started bothering me and I felt like I was going insane . I have been put on Prozac and zanexs .But still Right before I start and during it I get bothered really bad with it.I was on birth control for a long time up until 3 years ago I went off of them.I wonder if it has something to do with that or maybe I am going through menopause maybe? I am 38 years old now.I can't even drive my car I feel retarded as I use to could drive but now I can't. Is there a better way of coping with this?

Hi I have always been this way with my 'due on' time, I have very bad anxiety and feel worried over everything, I find it hard to sleep and act like a zombie. I am now 27 and this has been like this since I was 12, I have had all kinds of medications and theapy but nothing has helped, I now have a little girl and i feel so bad for being anxious and deppressed for half the month. The only thing that I found over the years that helped ease this was exercise and diet. At the min I am not taking my own advice and I really should be as I'm having many problems. But if you could get the chance for some exercise (after you maybe have seen if its ok with your doctor) you could maybe start slowly like a walk a day and stop having caffine (if you have it already). I think I'm also talking to myself here lol, because I have been eating junk food, drinking lots of coke and coffee, not getting much exercise and I am in a state. I'm not sure what afects birth control has on your hormones but that could be the case, maybe your body is just reacting to the change in hormones, id ask the doctor if you are very worried. Hope you find a solution, take care.
