hello, to start things of i am a 19 year old female. anyways, about....5 days ago, i had the first panic attack ive ever had. it was extremely severe. i was watching a movie with my friends, and i noticed my hand felt a little numb. i thought it was weird, but somewhat ignored it. a few minutes later, a huge rush of emotion just exploded over me. i instantly became anxious. so the first thing i did was stand up and walk out into the lobby. i was with my boyfriend at the time so he came out with me.it was the worst feeling ive ever had. i was shaking uncontrolably, my legs felt numb and my heart was going extremely fast. i had the feeling i was going to die, like most people who have panic attacks. it lasted unusually long, about 45 minutes to an hour. during that time i had asked my boyfriend to take me to the grocery store and i got some aspirin in case it was a heart attack or something. the next day i had another one, not as bad, but still pretty serious. and also the day after that i had another one. the past 2 days or so havent been as bad, my anxiety is almost completely gone. but the arm soreness is still there. my right arm has been sore, like i lifted too much. not all the time but occasionaly. also, i noticed that if i dont eat right away when i get hungry, my face goes numbish. i checked my blood sugar and it was 73, and that was about an hour after eating som peanut butter on some whole wheat toast with a banana. lately ive also been very tired, and very weak, and when i stand up and walk around i tend to feel worse. i have never had problems like this before in my life. and im kinda scared because the soreness is always in my left arm. being that im 19 my parents think nothing of it as being the symptom of a heart attack. im not extremely overweight. also, when im hungry and my stomach hurts, i try to eat. but my desire to eat anything is completely gone. as soon as i start chewing the food i get the feeling of nausea. its weird. right now im sitting here and my arm is getting even more numb. i went to the doctor and she set me up to get a blood test in 2 days or so. also, im suppoesd to start my period in a few days and am wondering if this is hormonal because my right breast has some pains in it from time to time, like sharp stabbing pains. ive been crying for no reason too. those are things i usually get a week before my period anyways, but i was wondering if maybe it is hormonal or not, especially since it came on a week before my period is supposed to start, out of no where. but a few weeks ago my shoulders were hurting, like my joint, and i was very tired and my lymph nodes were swollen. i also get hot flashes. what do you think this all might be??? cause im not a depressed person, and ive never had an anxiety attack before. help?

Hmmm, your attack sounds similiar to what I first experienced. It's possible it could be a sugar problem, but wait to see what those tests say.

interestingly enough, im thinking it is a bacteria infection. it caused me to have panic attacks because of an infection in my intestines. and about the low blood sugar...well i hadnt pooped in days, and i usually poop 3 times daily. BUT, as soon as this whole thing started, i stopped going poop. (which was almost a week ago!!!!!!!) the buildup of my poop became so severe that i couldnt eat without dry heaving, and i had endless heartburn. i had to drink lots of liquids. so i think my body was somewhat um, mal something.....not malnurished but where your intestines doesnt fully absorb the contents? because id get hungry every 1 or 2 hours. anyway, so since i felt i had to go but couldnt, i drank this tea thats supposed to help you go. it didnt work AT ALL. i got scared of course, because the toxin buildup can be really bad for your system. i wanted to be able to sleep so i took a epsom salt bath and went to bed. (little did i know, its magneium sulfate, which helps get poop along) 3 hours later i wake up from a nightmare, feeling extremely sick/disoriented. to tell you out of all honesty, this happened about 4 hours ago and i dont remember exactly what happened. i went to the bathroom finally. but the poop was the weirdest thing ive EVER seen. it was squishy in the middle but around it was....well i unno.....it looked like crumb topping on top of a apple pie. VERY strange. i started to feel a little better, but for the past few hours have been horrid because i can still feel the toxin build up in my body, but i keep pooping like crazy. i also pooped white mucus. i DIDNT poop blood though. im going to the doctor later today bcause i absolutly HATE the thought of toxin build up and bacteria......and im getting scared because the bacteria can get in your blood stream. ive been checking my blood pressure ALOT just in case it doesnt suddenly drop. im drinking tons of liquids, peeing alot and pooping alot, which is good, but i feel sick. OH and my blood sugar is fine now. i checked it when i was feeling bad and it was 100. i checked my blood pressure and it was 118/80 or something. since then its risen though because im slightly panic-e and havent slept well if at all for 2 days. i just hope this doesnt turn into something serious, like septic shock or something T^T but i have an extremely high white blood count and a realy good immune system typically. i mean i havent gotten sick in 2 years. anyways, so what do you think???

Many of those symptoms are possibly linked to sugar problems, including constipation, but if you haven't gone to the bathroom in a few days that's another story and you better suggest your doctor starts to test for things. Constipation for sugar issues doesn't last that long, if you're going on several days you could have something serious going on. If you're talking a day, not so much and this could all be sugar. I don't think bacteria is the issue, what kind were you thinking about? If you had a bacterial infection you'd feel terrible, vomiting everywhere and in incredible pain.

im extremely scared!!! im getting my blood test today. how long have i had my symptoms? which ones? i havent been able to go for like, 5 days now. of course i went last night, like i said i guess because of the epsom salt bath i took. AND while i was having this, my blood sugar was fine. it was only when i couldnt go that my blood sugar is low. even now, i cant go again, im backed up again and my blood sugar is low again. *sigh* im so so so scared and i just cry because i think there is something wrong with me but i feel im not getting help and results fast enough. i mean, itll take like 2-3 to get back my blood test. what if its something serious??!?!?!?!?! i wont find out for another 2 days? i cant freaking sleep at all cause im anxious. its ridiculous. and of course thats only making my system worse. i went to the ER like, 2 days ago and they checked my blood. he said my glucose level is fine and i have great amount of white blood cells, blah blah. but im just so scared and i wish someone would just believe me when i say i dont feel well. if its not a bacterial infection then what could it be? i mean, my poop was so weird, and when i was pooping i had like, flu symptoms. i was hot and felt light headed and just icky. hot on the inside, you know? and slightly nauseaded. all i know is i wanna get this over with cause im scared and i just dont feel like myself. and i dont think its like an ulcer because i havent had blood or anything in my poop that i can see and my anus isnt like, super sore or something. ive looked up stuff all over the net on how i feel and the only one that seems even close is like, i have a bug in my intestines. cause it just makes sense to me. if i had a bug, it would be sucking from my nutrition and my food im eating, causing me to get hungry and my blood sugar to get low. and the fact that my poop was just weird.....believe me i know what my poop usually looks like and shape and everything and this isnt normal. and its not just a case of being backed up. and if there was something blocking the way, i guess it would make sense, whatever it may be, but if it was blocking the way wouldnt i feel intense pain?!?!?!? or at least some sort of pain??? cause all i feel is an occasional stab in the right side under my rib cage, where my colon is. thats beside all the anxiety. anyway im going to the doctor today and my friend is coming over today. she does like....uh how do i explain? she does massage and she fixes things. *sigh* i pray that nothing bad will happen to me. ive only been a healthy person. T^T

Well, if you went last night it hasn't been five days (I was talking about going to the bathroom when I was mentioning days, by the way). You're just experiencing some troubling, no doubt, but otherwise what sounds like typical bowel changes. The kicker is you mention the flu-like symptoms, heat and so forth. These are classic hypoglycemia symptoms. However, don't get scared. Depending on the doctors you see, you may get little help from them and only by trying dietary changes will you see if anything works for you. You need a GTT to see what the results of that are, but it doens't necessarily mean you'll find anything unless you're in a really, really poor sugar state. But absolutely DO NOT look at anything else on the internet. I know from experience that this is almost a symptom in itself of this condition. I thought I had bugs, cancer, AIDS, IBS, bacterial infections, candida, liver disease, lyme disease, and so forth. STOP READING. Trust me, I know, it will DRIVE YOU INSANE. I really, really doubt it's a 'bug,' you'd know. You're just reading into symptoms because, if it is sugar, something like that doesn't have anything you can really see, it's a lot of vague, but really troubling symptoms.
