hello both myself and daughter have used this medication and found it very worth while and work..i went through a very stressful period and found they relaxed me and help me cope better with situations..
Its there main purpose is too stop feeling all those horrible signs of depression and anxiousness..
You will feel better with them and don,t stop taking them because you feel better, you need to complete the course..

yeah i have heard they do work very well, just everyone i know who has taken them have gone thru hell in the first week or so, and it has made them a lot more anxious to start with...i know it gets better when they kick in but i dont think i cud handle being more anxious than i already am. i have a two year old son and dont think i would be able to look after him very well if i was MORE anxious. quite annoyed the doc prescribed me these ones and not a more suitable one...
think i will try stick it out myself for bit longer. thanks for the reply xXx

your welcome honey...i found no side affects but also not on any other medication when i started mine..not everyone has the same affects with medication this is true also..my daughter had a three month old baby to look after when she was on them so they actually helped her cope better..if your didn,t need them your doctor would not have prescribed them..
i understand your reason to hang off from them but its good to know you have them if you feel you need them..

hmm...after getting rather upset and still not even took them i went back to the docs today n told them i dont think i cud handle gettin more anxious to begin with. so he prescribed me diazepam only to take every now and then when i feel that the side effects are to much. am tellin myself im gonna start the citalopram tomorrow morning, just really scared that they will somehow do something dangerous to me altho i know that is my anxiety talkin, just still find it hard. did u take them for anxiety also? xXx

hi honey i took diazepam for my chronic back pain..you will not know side affects until you try them as we all react different..my citalopram was for anxiety..i cried non stop and felt my life was going nowhere until i took them.
Once i did i felt great and could face any problem with a level head and i had forgotten what that felt like..they gave such a boost and my daughter swore by them also and feels if she does ever need them again she will do so with no hesitation...
niether done me any harm they put my head and life back on track.
you got nothing to worry about honey trust me.
